Courtyard by Marriott Harrisonburg

Stayed here for a night while driving Shenandoah National Park. Clean room. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good parking lot. I only started staying at Hyatt Place this year. So far, all the ones ive stayed at have been great. I really appreciate that it has a real breakfast. I like the egg bites and bacon. Rooms are spacious and clean too.

I give this 4-stars with some reservations (no pun intended). A couple of things they do right: Good customer service and housekeeping. And a some that fall short: The pool was out-of-service and breakfast was essentially no-existent. Sure, you could order stuff from the menu, but none of the usual breakfast layout you would expect. Disappointing. The room was fine. I was impressed that the package A/C units were very quiet. That's great, but the sliding door to the balcony was stuck, so no sitting out there. I had a suite and the couch was downright awful. Really couldn't even sit in it. Just awkward and uncomfortable. But other than that, the room was clean, spacious and well laid out. One oddball thing, at least for a tall person like me was how short the bed was. Wide as a king but about 6" shorter than normal. I guess that's a hotel thing but a bit annoying when you feet hang over the bottom. I won't stay here again until the pool is operational.

Friendly staff , great location, I do think housekeeping could do a better job at cleaning the rooms. I had to find housekeeping upon checking into our room for cleaning supplies so I could clean the counters, there was food and sticky stuff on counters and there was empty bottles of soda that was left in room on floor from previous guest.

The location was really good. However if you plan to visit Shenandoah National park, make sure the trails etc you are interested in are close-by as this may be far from a few good trails. For us we were interested in Appalachian National Trail which was 50 mins drive from here. You could also consider Winchester city to live in. There were a lot of eating options nearby and a lot of other shops. The hotel rooms seemed a little old. Basic toiletries were missing when we arrived but were quickly provided once asked for. Overall a decent hotel to stay for a few days.

The room was very spacious.be prepared if you stay long they do not change/clean your covers but they will make your bed,I did not like that at all I stayed here for 3 weeks or so away on a work trip,there is no free coffee bar,no free breakfast,the bar is a bit pricey I ordered wings here & they were ice cold in the middle. You can here every door open & close so keep that in mind.other than that okay .i was able to snap a quick photo with mr.randy Pauly the buccees pit master himself that was great!

The rooms are pretty bad for a Marriott. The fire alarm went off in the night. It took like 30 minutes to fix. The rooms are loud. The AC was broken. Popcorn ceiling hurts to look at. It is near food though,
